Join us as we explore the poem Black Dandelion by Semaj Brown, delve into its dynamic players, and let its inspiration guide you in crafting a poem of your own.

UM-Flint’s Community Writing Center, the Rough Draft Café, provides writing support services to community members.

"Instructors as Writers" is a decade old writers' group in Flint that is engaging in Black Dandelion Literacy Week. The facilitator is Patty Duffy, educator and university professor, FIA docent.

Following the workshop, poets will have the chance to share their creations inspired by Black Dandelion, express their unique voices, and connect with others through the power of spoken word.
