Gloria Coles Flint Library (Flint, MI) is seeking curious, positive, reliable and flexible On-Call Library Staff to join our team. We are looking for individuals who will create a welcoming environment by greeting library visitors, initiating conversations, and meeting visitors’ expressed needs. Candidates must demonstrate enthusiasm for and proficiency in working with people of all ages and backgrounds. An ideal candidate commits to an equitable and inclusive approach to excellent customer service and public librarianship.
The On-Call Library Staff will be “on the floor” more often than not; proactive to assist and follow through until the expressed patron service need is met; keep up with what is happening at Gloria Coles Flint Public Library and promote resources, materials, services and programs through intentional word-of-mouth. The candidate goes above and beyond to delight library patrons, who are given such a positive experience that they cannot wait to come back.

Scheduled Hours and Salary/Benefits: Scheduled as needed, including evening and weekend hours. Hourly $20 per hour, salary depends on possession of MLS/MLIS degree status, no benefits.
