This season, we have an exciting lineup of activities designed for all ages to celebrate the joy of reading and learning. Whether you're a bookworm or just looking for something new to try, there's something for everyone at the library!

Event Highlights

Saturday, June 15th
Summer Reading Outdoor Kick Off, 12pm:
Kick off the summer with games, face painting, and fun activities for the whole family!
Juneteenth Celebration, all day: Join us in celebrating Juneteenth with various activities at the Cultural Campus throughout the day.
Local Author Event: Leon El-Alamin, 2pm: Meet and greet with local author Leon El-Alamin, hear about his journey, and get your books signed.
VR for Teens, 3pm: Step into new worlds with our virtual reality experience designed just for teens 13-18!

 

Tuesday, June 18th
Lunch on the Lawn Storytime Adventure, 12pm:
Pack a lunch and enjoy a delightful story time session on our beautiful library lawn.

 

Wednesday, June 19
Juneteenth Storytime, 12pm:
Celebrate Juneteenth with a special story time session focusing on stories of freedom and resilience.

 

Saturday, June 22
Urban Bee Keeping with Jason Bey, 12pm:
Learn about the fascinating world of urban beekeeping and its importance to our ecosystem.
Book Discussion: All Boys Aren't Blue, 2pm: Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on George M. Johnson’s powerful memoir.
